Tuesday Trends

Sweater: F21 Shirt: NRack Jeans: Vigoss Shoes: Payless Necklace: F21
It has been SO cold these past few days. Like, I can't feel my toes in the above picture, cold. However, I can't complain because the rain has decided to spend it's time elsewhere. But, while the sun has been showing his face around here recently, he decided to leave his warmness at home. I'd say it's about time to land myself on the beautiful, sunny, warm beaches of Australia.

In other news, I've discovered that cats have more human-like qualities than I realized. Let's take my cat for example (whom I've been studying because we live in the same house).

For starters, she sits like a human.

AND...

Shows strong non-verbal communication skills.
So much emotion in just one look.

Do ya feel me?

Much love,

Friday's Letters

Dear God, thanks for having a plan for my life. I can check that off my to-do list. And thank you for daily teaching me what it means to simply trust that you have a plan for me. Because it is easier said then done. Dear little sister, you're flying back to NY tomorrow. It's been fun getting to spend time with you. Thanks for your cheerful attitude and loud singing voice :) Dear Justin Timberlake, so glad you're back in the game. Finally. Dear Dear Nordstrom Rack, you are like a big, messy, wonderful, bank breaking TRAP! Every time I walk into you I find something I want to buy. So I'm taking away my Rack privileges. Dear Pandora, you rock. Seriously, you always put me in such a good mood. And you create an excellent Demi Lovato playlist. Dear brussel sprouts, you are soooooo yummy. So many people write you off, but they don't know the real, flavorful, crispy you. Dear weekend, hi.

Happy Friday!
(Linking up here.)

Some Reflections

As many of you know, I graduated college about a month ago. Up until this point, college has been my goal. To be honest, I've never really had big plans or dreams for after graduation. And now that it's over, my eyes have been opened to the many possibilities for my life and the direction that God could lead me. This past month has been a time of reflection and hope as I think about the future and all that it could entail.

So, in the words of Phil Wickham, here is my prayer for this next season of my life.

Take these feet.
I know they stumble, but you use the weak.
You use the humble, so please use me.
All I am is yours.

I give you all my life, I'm letting it go.
A living sacrifice, no longer my own.
I give you everything, to you I belong.
Every beat of my heart, the breath in my lungs.
All I am is yours.

I completely believe that God has an incredible journey in store for me.
One full of so much more than I could have ever dreamt up on my own.

Much love,

Tuesday Trends: A Little Spring in Winter

My sweet little sister is still on Christmas break and graciously agreed to model for this week's fashion post. She is currently studying fashion in New York and so I obviously had to put her on the blog!
I'm in love with her lace-up rain boots.

On another note, did anyone else's TV schedule go from being "free" to "can't pencil you in even if Jef Holm isn't the new bachelor" last week? Between The Bachelor, Pretty Little Liars, Nashville, and Grey's, all of my weekday evenings are booked for the next few months.
The life of an unemployed post-grad.

What shows are you watching this January?

Much Love,

Ariel

Getting life in order

Moving back into to my room at home has proven much more difficult than expected. I have probably spent close to 20+ hours trying to unpack my belongings and find new homes for them. 20 hours of my life that I will never get back, mostly spent asking myself "why is this process is taking so long?"

I have filled boxes upon boxes with books, toys, clothes, bedding, pictures, and electronics that I haven't used since I was a junior in high school. However, the hardest part has been organizing and trying to find a place for my shoes. In my room in Seattle, my shoes hung nicely in an over-the-closet-door-shoe-organizer. Unfortunately, my closet at home comes door-free and so an alternative solution had to be thought of. After much brainstorming, they landed on my bookshelf. No longer in school, no longer need to read, right?

Needless to say, it has been a large project with no end in sight.

Also, just a quick update for all my new readers...In exactly two weeks I will be boarding a plane to Australia for an indefinite amount of time. I have always wanted to go there and so, for the time being, I will be living abroad. I have created a handy little countdown so that you can be excited for the start of this adventure with me!

Much love,
